AA Israeli security forces executed a daytime rescue operation in central Gaza on Saturday, liberating four hostages, among them Noa Argamani, whose abduction on October 7 garnered global attention through chilling video footage.

AA The rescued individuals, including Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40, have been safely transported to the Sheba Tel-HaShomer Medical Center near Tel Aviv, where authorities confirm their "good medical condition," according to a joint statement issued by the Israel Defense Forces, the Israel Securities Authority, and the Israel Police.

AA My training data goes up until January 2022, and I'm not able to provide real-time updates.

AA A circulating video on social media captured the heartwarming moment when Argamani reunited with her father. She later conversed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the phone, expressing her excitement, saying, "I’m very excited. I haven’t spoken Hebrew in such a long time."

AA Yan Gorjaltsan, a close friend of Argamani from their hometown of Be’er Sheva, shared with NBC News that he and a group of friends were en route to Tel Aviv to celebrate with her. "This is the happiest day of our lives," he exclaimed. "You can’t believe how we’re feeling."

AA The rescue operation unfolded amidst mounting pressure on Netanyahu to negotiate the release of the hostages, as thousands of protesters took to the streets regularly in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

AA As of my last update in January 2022, Hamas is generally regarded as a terrorist organization by some countries and entities, including Israel, the United States, and the European Union, due to its history of violence and its stated aim of destroying Israel.

A A Argamani, a data science engineering student, was depicted in a widely circulated video screaming as she was forcefully taken away on a motorcycle. This brief, yet haunting, footage became emblematic of Israel’s hostage crisis.

AA For her family and friends, the mission to secure her release felt urgent, especially considering her mother, Liora, is battling terminal brain cancer. Argamani celebrated her 26th birthday while in captivity. It's believed her boyfriend, Avinatan Or, remains in Gaza.

AA Almog Meir Jan had been discharged from military service months prior to the attack, as reported by the Times of Israel. Attempting to escape the festival with a friend, he managed only a brief distance before being apprehended.

AA Shlomi Ziv, employed as a security guard at Nova, contacted his sisters while trying to escape the chaos.

AA Andrey Kozlov, a recent immigrant from Russia to Israel, also served as a security guard at the festival.

AA Saturday’s operation marks the second successful hostage rescue by the IDF from Gaza since Oct. 7. In February, two hostages were liberated from the southern city of Rafah in a nighttime mission.
